TL;DR
Warframe Hotfix 43.5.3 adds several fixes across audio, visuals, crashes, and specific gameplay interactions. The biggest gameplay-facing changes are to Surge Eximus, including a 50m maximum casting range and fixes for Silence interaction, invisible-player targeting, and damage timing.
What Changed
- Nightwave Radio now plays from the Nightwave console in the Backrooms if the Nora Night Volume slider is not set to zero.
- Athodai Prime’s unique trait Overdrive description was updated to say it triggers on weakpoint kills, not headshots.
- Ally Gemini Skin voice lines are now affected by the Enemy & Ally Combat Volume slider in the Advanced Sound Effects Mixer.
-
Corrupt shader cache handling was improved to help prevent crashes.
-
Surge Eximus changes and fixes:
- The electricity ability now has a maximum casting range of 50m.
- Additional crash cases involving Surge Eximus units in Uranus Proxima and Deep Mines missions were fixed.
- The electricity ability now interacts properly with Banshee’s Silence.
- The electricity ability no longer deals damage across two ticks instead of one.
- The actual damage output from the electric shocks is unchanged.
-
Surge Eximus can no longer target invisible players.
-
Other fixes:
- Tempera Amp Skin issues affecting Drifter Amps with Alt-Fire inputs and the Fire Manual Trigger Weapons Continuously toggle were fixed, along with misaligned firing VFX.
- Hildryn can no longer stack Void Relic opening Ability Strength buffs if triggered while in Aegis Storm.
- Vectis and Vectis Prime now fully reload after exiting Incarnon Form.
- Several appearance, decoration, and environment issues were fixed, including Signa tint dragging, black metallic elements in the Backrooms on low graphics settings, decoration placement in Dojo rooms, duplicate Kubrow and Kavat fur pattern listings, and a crash when interacting with the KIM system.
Player Impact
Surge Eximus is the main gameplay area affected here. Players should expect its electricity ability to behave more consistently with range limits, Silence, targeting rules, and damage timing, while keeping the same actual shock damage output.
The Tempera Amp Skin fix should improve reliability for affected Drifter Amp alt-fire behavior, though the note says the issue persists for Operators with that skin equipped. The patch also addresses several crash cases and interaction bugs that could interrupt play or cause visual issues.
