TL;DR
Marvel Rivals’ October 1, 2026 patch is a no-downtime update that adds new store items, runs a Pop & Win event, opens Ignite Series Stage 2 Playoffs predictions, and fixes a few issues in Rogue’s ability text, Jeff’s Superstar Search matchmaking, and the Customize menu.
What Changed
- New store content is arriving for Luna Snow and Phoenix, including:
- Luna Snow – Lunar Luna
- Phoenix – Cosmic Spark
- Luna Snow – Lunar Luna Chroma Pink Planets/Dark Nebula and Ultimate Ability VFX
- The listed store availability runs from October 2, 2026, 02:00:00 to October 30, 2026, 02:00:00 UTC.
- Pop & Win is featuring Luna Snow’s Lunar Luna and Phoenix’s Cosmic Spark, with an event duration of September 17, 2026, 09:00:00 to October 16, 2026, 02:00:00 UTC.
- Ignite Series Stage 2 Playoffs predictions open on October 5, with deadlines listed for Pacific, Americas, EMEA, and China.
- Fixes and optimizations:
- Rogue’s stolen Adam Warlock ability description no longer incorrectly says she can “fly freely.”
- Jeff’s Superstar Search no longer forces the lobby into Quick Match when clicking “GO” to matchmake.
- A UI issue in the Customize menu where Chroma description text could remain on screen after unselecting it has been fixed.
Player Impact
The patch is mainly about store additions, event participation, and quality-of-life fixes rather than gameplay balance changes.
Players interested in cosmetics can look for the new Luna Snow and Phoenix items when they become available. Those following esports can participate in Ignite Series Stage 2 Playoffs predictions and complete related event quests through predictions and in-game broadcasts. The fixes should make Rogue’s ability text clearer, prevent Jeff’s Superstar Search from redirecting matchmaking unexpectedly, and clean up the Customize menu UI.
