TL;DR
Warframe’s October update roundup highlights four time-limited or newly arriving activities: Epoch Operation: Taubound, Nights of Naberus, The Icebind, and the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation Quest. The biggest gameplay note is The Icebind, a new 6-player high-level mode that was delayed for additional development time and is now set to go live on October 7.
What Changed
- Epoch Operation: Taubound runs October 15 to November 17.
- Players who want to help open a path to the Tau System are told to complete “Vor’s Prize” before October 15.
- Players who want to pilot their Vessel for the first time can also complete The Hex and The Old Peace to access a new, permanent Prologue Quest tied to the Road to Tau.
- Nights of Naberus runs October 1 at 11 a.m. ET to November 2 at 11 a.m. ET.
- Daughter is offering new and returning seasonal Customizations in exchange for Mother Tokens.
- Hallowed Nightmares Tactical Alert returns, letting players face Jack O’Naut.
- The Icebind becomes accessible October 7.
- The mode was originally intended to ship as “Glacial Defiance” alongside Iceblade of Narin, but was delayed for additional development time and renamed.
- It is described as a new 6-player game mode with challenging, high-level Missions that can be played up to three times weekly for rewards.
- PMCF Quest returns October 1 to October 31.
- The event includes special community streams, donation incentives, and Conquera Customizations.
Player Impact
The most direct gameplay impact is the arrival of The Icebind, which gives players a new high-level 6-player activity with a weekly play limit and reward structure. Players interested in the Tau-related event content should make sure their accounts are ready in advance, since the post specifically calls out Vor’s Prize as a prerequisite for Epoch Operation: Taubound. Seasonal players also have a limited window for Nights of Naberus rewards and the returning Hallowed Nightmares Tactical Alert.
For players focused on community participation, the PMCF Quest offers another October-long charity event with streams, donation incentives, and Conquera Customizations.
